Terms and Conditions for Design Work

• All sites will have to comply with, at least, HTML 4 as determined by the World Wide Web Consortium.
• We will not produce sites with frames.
• If requested, we will assist a site owner with arranging for webhosting at additional cost, payable in advance: the choice of web host lies with the site owner.
• We will upload and maintain sites, at additional cost; site owners will be obliged to allow us access to their site, including provision of appropriate passwords and access codes.
• All instructions must be confirmed in writing or by e-mail.
• Invoices will be submitted monthly for work in progress and at the end of the design process. All invoices must be paid upon delivery of the completed product. Ownership of the product remains with John Thomson Web-site Design until payment is made.
• Copyright in all design remains with John Thomson Web-site Design indefinitely. Site owners will agree to a link to www.jtwsd.co.uk being discreetly placed upon their site.
• We will not be involved in any site which is, in our opinion, not legal, decent, honest or truthful.
• The copyright for all text, photographs and logos supplied by the site owner must lie with the site owner.
• Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the provision of our design service shall be limited to the charges paid by you in respect of those services which are the subject of any such claim.
• In any event no claim shall be brought unless you have notified us of the claim, within one month of it arising, by writing to us at the address displayed on our web-site at www.jtwsd.co.uk/contactus.htm
• In no event will we be liable for any loss of business, contracts, profit or anticipated savings, direct or otherwise, through any delay or failure of the site.
• Any agreement with site owners will be subject to the laws of England and all transactions will be in Sterling.
