Web hosting and design for the smaller business from John Thomson, Somerset, UK

This page illustrates how we treat your privacy through the use of this site.

Firstly, this site does not use cookies, except as part of the shopping basket. Cookies are small files generated by many sites when you first log on. They help those sites recognise you when you return. We do not consider it necessary to use them through most of the site. However, the shopping basket accessed from the "buy now" page requires cookies to be operational. It uses cookies to track your order.

Like many sites, we like to collect statistics. We do so for our customers on many of the sites we design. These are collected by our site's host computer, and record the browser used. We are also able to see which pages on our site are the most popular, and if people came to our pages from, for instance, a search engine, together with the words they used to search for our site. However, we do not know anything further about those looking at our site.

We do not collect any personal information unless you contact us through this site. If you use our on-line payment facility to order a service and pay, PayPal, who provide the service, will collect information through on-line forms. The PayPal site at www.paypal.com/uk explains their privacy policy. They do not pass us your username, passwords or credit card details. They do, however, pass us information needed to supply the service requested, such as your name and address. Where you ask us to arrange hosting, or the purchase of a domain name as your agent, we will pass your details to, as appropriate, Nominet or other domain name registrar.

It may be that you will wish to contact us, either using our web-form, or by e-mail. In these circumstances you control the information you supply, and any enquiry you make will remain confidential, subject to our terms and conditions of business.

Our contact details are given on the "Contact us" page.
